We are currently looking to hire a Principal AWS Cloud Architect for our Munich based customer (location flexible; no relocation required).

These tasks are waiting for you:

1. Lead roles (e.g., IT-Architect, Tech Lead, Principal Consultant) in data-driven IT projects focused on AWS cloud engineering, including project management and implementation, while building strong customer relationships through excellent service delivery.
2. Land & Expand: Identify opportunities and risks in projects and successfully create new roles within existing projects.
3. Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively engage and persuade customers upon initial interaction.
4. Collaborate closely with tech partners to grow the AWS partnership.
5. Apply analytical thinking to optimize internal processes.
6. Coach practice members, driving the success of the AWS cluster.

What we expect from you

1. More than 6 years of experience in Cloud / Data Engineering area (AWS or Azure)
2. Experience with managing projects as well as hands-on implementation of the Cloud/ area Data Engineering projects
3. Excellent programming skills (e.g. Java, Python, Spark; object-oriented). Any other language considered a plus
4. Strong technical skills in emerging data technologies, especially in the big data areas of AWS
5. Best Practices in designing and setting up data platforms via IaC (with all respective security related requirements)
   
6. Bachelor / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Management or in similar qualification
7. Certifications in AWS: e.g. Associate or Professional or proven record of delivering projects with AWS
8. Openness to occasional travel (up to 30% of the time)
   
9. German, English: fluent in speaking & writing
10. Very good presentation and communication skills
11. Ability to Land&Expand
12. Coaching and mentoring
