Main Tasks:

• Take over leading roles (e.g. IT-Architect, Tech Lead, Principal Consultant) in data driven IT projects in the areas of Databricks platform Engineering: project
  management and implementation and building strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service.
• Land & Expand and sales: recognizing opportunities and risks & using the network in the Cloud Data analytics area.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively engage and persuade customers upon initial interaction
• Close cooperation with tech partner and growing Databricks partnership
• Analytical thinking regarding internal process optimizations
• Coaching of practice members, driving success of the Databricks cluster
• Collaboration within the synvert group for Databricks related topics
• Nice to have/preferred:  Have a strong customer network in the Big Data area and generating new
  leads, successfully win small to medium size projects

Must have / Nice to have:

• Six years of experience in the area of Platform/ Data Engineering & consultancy
• Excellent knowledge of Databricks, and hands-on experience
• Experience with managing projects as well as hands-on implementation of the Cloud/ Data Engineering projects
• Experience in sales and presales of small to medium size projects is a plus
• Network in Data Engineering/Science area EDUCATION
• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Management or in similar qualifications
• Certifications in Databricks: e.g. Associate or Professional or proven record of delivering projects
• Certifications in Cloud/ Data Engineering /Data Science areas TECHNICAL SKILLS § Excellent programming skills (e.g. Java, scala, Python; object -oriented) Any other language considered a plus
• Strong technical skills in emerging data technologies, especially in Databricks § Best Practices in designing and setting up data platforms via IaC (with all respective security related requirements)
• Deep expertise in one of the following areas in Databricks: Unity Catalog, Data Warehousing, Performance Optimization
• Experience with other Big Data technologies such as, Kafka, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake
• Architecture
• Data Governance
• Data Modelling LANGUAGES
• German: fluent (Interview in German)
